Welcome to Tupper Lake Sign

Transition to Franklin County 911 Dispatching

For the past several decades, the Tupper Lake Police Department has operated
by having a full time road patrol and a 24 hour, 7 day a week staffed police station.
Beginning on February 5, 2010, the Tupper Lake Police Department will, on
a trial basis, be dispatched by Franklin County 911. This will bring about many
changes in the way the Department conducts business. It is also going to have a
significant change in the way the public contacts the police, fire, EMS and many
other services that the Police Department has been a part of.

Beginning February 5, 2010, Franklin County 911 will be dispatching ALL calls for
service that would have normally either been called in to the department by
telephone, two way radio or walk-in's off of the street. 911 will be providing this
service on every

FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT BETWEEN THE HOURS OF
5:00 P.M. and 5:00 A.M.

During these times, the Police Station located at 53 Park Street, will not have
any staff available unless the road patrol happens to be in the station at the time.
The station will, for at least the first 6 months of the trial, operate as it has having
a desk officer available at all times other than those listed above. The only time
the station will be unstaffed is during 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m on Friday,
Saturday and Sunday nights. Please follow the navigation links below to answer
