Tupper Lake Village DPW / Town Highway Department
For many years, the Tupper Lake Police Department has been the point of contact for the Village Department of Public Works and the Town of Tupper Lake Highway Department, for both Village and Town residents. The phone numbers you are used to calling to obtain the services of the Department of Public Works or the Town of Tupper Lake Highway Department are not changing. You can still call the police department, you will now reach the Auto Attendant.
There will be an option for you to pick from in the Auto Attendant menu to obtain Department of Public Works or the Town of Tupper Lake Highway Department services. Once you hear the option for these departments and you select the appropraite menu number, you will be transferred to a 911 dispatcher who will take your information and make arrangements to contact members of the respective Department and dispatch them to your location.
This system will work for you whenever the auto attendant answers your call. We are asking that Monday through Friday during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, if you need the Village Department of Public Works department, please call the Village Office at 518-359-3341 and request these services from the Village Office Staff. They can dispatch the DPW department immediately as well. If you need the Town of Tupper Lake Highway Department during regular business hours, please call the Tupper Lake Town Hall at 518-359-9261. For all other times, call the police department to either reach the auto attendant or an officer to take your call. (Note that the Village Office and Town Hall are closed on all legal holidays).
