Questions...
Hopefully these few pages have given you a better insight of what is going to happen when the Tupper Lake Police Department, for the first time in many, many years, locks the doors at night and does not have a fully staffed station 24 hours a day. While this is a service the Village residents have become comfortable in having, we feel that we will still be able to provide the level of service you have come to expect, will be able to better utilize available personnel to better cover our patrol areas, and in the end, provide our continued level of service by holding the line on your tax dollars. If all goes well, there is a possibilty of 911 dispatching our department 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but that is quite a ways off in the future.
If for some reason you have questions or concerns about anything involving this transition, we would be more than happy to discuss them with you. Officers are available to answer your questions but are unable to change policy or procedure. If you have a genuine concern or question, please contact Chief Thomas Fee to discuss the matter. He is in the police department most weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 518-359-3776, or write him an email at: fee@tupperlakepd.com
Thanks for your patience and understanding as we take this step in changing the future of the Tupper Lake Police Department!
