Welcome to Tupper Lake Sign

Walk In Complaints

During the hours that 911 will be dispatching our department, the physical Police Station, located at 53 Park Street in the rear of the building, will be unstaffed. Generally, the patrol officers working will not be in the station but out in a patrol car away from the building. The police station will be locked and the building secured with an alarm system and closed circuit security cameras. You may find that the officers working may just happen to be in the station when you come to our department, if so, please enter and ring the door bell for assistance. If you arrive to find the station unoccupied, you will need to do the following if you need the police.

The outer doorway to the police station will have posted instructions on what to do and will be mostly as listed here:

Should you have an emergency, you should go back down the alleyway to Park Street. You should then walk up the stairs to the front of the building, which is the front door to the Village of Tupper Lake Municipal Offices. On the outside of the building next to the entrance door to the left of the door you will find an emergency telephone located inside a red emergency box. Open the box and lift the handset and you will be immediately connected the a 911 dispatcher who will know immediately you are calling from that call box.

You also have the option if you have the availability of a cell phone to immediately call 911 from your cell phone to be connected to a 911 dispatcher.

You also have the option of going to another location, such as home or work and calling 911 from that location to speak to a 911 dispatcher.

Regardless of how you decide to contact the 911 center, once connected, the dispatcher will take all of your information and dispatch our patrol to the location you are at.
